This corporate function was
entertaining some of the world’s richest and most successful Chief Executives
of companies. There were Australian TV and film stars in attendance, all the
A-listers and celebrities one could hope to find in the one place. The theme
was Great Gatsby and guests failed to disappoint, with feathers, pearls,
sequins all on show.
This was the annual Polo Cup finals, or "chess on
horseback" as one guest commented. There was even a parade of Maseratis for
spectators to druel over. The band got dressed up in full Great Gatsby 1920s
attire, complete with accessories. Joel Edgerton’s character plays polo in Baz
Luhrmann’s film so it was a fitting tribute.
